About Cycle Kasagi
Cycle Kasagi is a collaboration between Cycle Kyoto and the Kansai Electric Power company (KanDen)
Cycle Kyoto has long been known for offering some of the city’s most popular and engaging cycling tours, giving visitors the chance to explore the backstreets, temples, and hidden corners that most travelers would miss. Building on that success, we felt it was time to share another side of Japan that’s just as captivating, but far less explored: the countryside. That’s why we opened our new rural branch in Kasagi.
Tucked away on the border of Kyoto and Nara, Kasagi is a place where winding rivers, rolling hills, and small farming villages create the perfect setting for a slower, more intimate cycling experience. For us, it wasn’t only about expansion—it was about passion. We’ve always loved the peace and charm of rural Japan, where every bend in the road brings a new discovery, whether it’s a tiny shrine, an orchard, or a farmer waving from his field.
Our Kasagi branch is designed to capture that feeling and share it with guests. Just as our Kyoto tours highlight the heart of the city, Kasagi lets riders experience the soul of the countryside. It’s a natural next step for Cycle Kyoto: combining our expertise with our love of rural Japan.
