Add a half day countryside e-bike tour to your Kyoto adventure and discover some of Japan’s most stunning scenery

Starting at Kasagi Station (an easy hour by train or car from central Kyoto), we begin with a gentle climb in the forested hills behind Kasagi village and toward the ancient hamlet of Yagyu. On the first half of the ride you can expect forest trails, sparkling waterways and traditional Japanese architecture.

After a tea break, our route returns via the stunning Kasagi-dera temple complex, known for majestic views of the valley and unique rock formations. With the option of an exhilarating off road section toward the end of the ride, we finish with a casual lunch in the centre of Kasagi village.

As with all our rural rides, we have a minimum height of 150cm and recommend at least a moderate level of cycling experience to get the most out of your ride.
